We "Aranya Jungle Resort" in Dooars belongs to Lataguri since 1970. From 1960 to 1990, Lataguri was famous for timber business all over India and the income and development of the area was dependent upon the timber supply across the country. But after that Gorumara was officially declared as the National Park as per Government policy, Forest act which led to the end of timber business in Lataguri. Then, the local people and forest villagers were encouraged by the forest department to stop deforestation in the area and educated them about ecotourism for the wildlife conservation.
The development of Gorumara started rapidly when it was declared as a National Park in 1992, as tourist started to visit Gorumara National Park to witness the wild animals. For the betterment and accommodation of the tourists, a good initiative was taken to build the Guesthouse by the local people, which turned out to be a successful idea for the development of the region. Nowadays the visitors can find many luxurious hotels and resorts in Lataguri.
Looking at the progress of the business, we also switched from a timber business into Tourism. In the year 2005, we made Aranya Jungle Resort in Lataguri.
We started Aranya with 3 cottages and one restaurant but today we have enough rooms, restaurant and services with delicious food, rooms with A/C, Travel Desk (Kheyamon Travels), car parking facility and most importantly a unique stay experience. Presently Aranya Jungle resort is one of the oldest gems in Lataguri.
As we are located very close to the forest, the visitors will get a special natural experience like never before. We are a hardworking and committed team focused on providing fantastic hospitality for a generous satisfaction of the customers. We have achieved sensational feedback from our visitors for a very long time through both Trip advisor and Holiday IQ.

pose I was in Aranya Jungle Resort. It was great experience being at Dooars at Aranya. I enjoyed my stay at Aranya, with its warm hospitality and staffs with their good behaviour. I don’t want to forget the taste of delicious foods which was as per guest's satisfaction.
I was in Aranya for the purpose of Film Shooting for a period of one and half month. My experience was excellent during this period. The room was neat and clean and well maintained and food also was as per my choice. Service quality was very good and satisfactory and staffs were very familiar and well behaved.
I have traveled around the world for my game purpose with high profile guest and hotels, but when I reached Aranya with my family, I found it different from others. I have visited Aranya from my bachelor time to post marriage with my wonderful stay. I enjoyed its service quality with its familiar and soft spoken staffs as well as the very delicious and tasty foods.
Dooars is my second home. I don’t know that how many times I have visited Aranya Resort, but its attractive location and well-maintained service quality is in my mind. Owner, Manager and all Staffs are very familiar to me with their name. They are very soft-spoken persons with smiley faces.
